USPS Change of Address - The Quick and Easy Way

When you are getting ready to move, one of the things that is likely on your "to do" list is to turn in a USPS Change of Address form to your post office.  This ensures that mail that is still addressed to your old address will be forwarded to your new one.  But people getting ready to move are very busy, and may not want the hassle of going to the post office to find the form and fill it out.  There is now good news for busy movers.  You can now fill out a USPS Change of Address online in as little as 2 minutes!

You could go to the USPS website to submit an online change of address.  But there is a hassle involved with that too.  The online form is hard to find on the site.  When you do find it, it is several pages long.  There is a .00 charge for the "convenience" and for "identity verification".  Finally, you need to enter your credit card information to pay the charge.  It is more of a hassle than it needs to be.

PRINTABLE COUPONS

The good news is that there are now 3rd party sites that will submit your USPS Change of Address to the Postal service on your behalf for free.  There is a simple one page form that takes 2 minutes to fill out. You simply go to the site, fill out the form, and click "submit" and they will promptly and securely send the information to the Postal Service.  There is no searching to find the form, no credit card is required.  You will receive verification of your address change by email and by regular mail at your old and new addresses.

What's the catch, you ask? It is not really a "catch".  The sites simply want to be able to give you coupons and inform you of special offers for services at your new location. For example, they may send you special offers for cable TV, satellite, telephone service, or coupons for the local hardware or home improvement store.  These offers can save you 0s of dollars per year should you decide to take advantage of them.

A Review of Popular Snow Blower Products

No job is too small or too big for a snow blower. From the humblest light powdering to the heaviest blizzards, there's a machine designed to clear the way. Here is a look at several brands of snow blowers and what you should know before making that first purchase.

Toro Snow Blowers

PRINTABLE COUPONS

Toro's 12 single-stage, dual-stage, and electric snow blowers offer a 5-year warranty on their exclusive 2-cycle R*Tech Engine. Most warranties only last 2 years. Other goodies Toro offers: A special trigger for releasing power to the wheels for tight turning action; an omni-directional joystick for mechanically aiming the discharge chute; and a heavy-duty gear case, eliminating the need for shear pins.

Honda Snow Blowers

Honda's line of ten snow blowers feature logical control layouts and "infinitely variable" drive speeds, allowing you to choose your exact speed in forward and reverse without stopping. Most other snow blowers have 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. Honda snow blowers all use Honda engines, which focus on fuel economy.

Ariens Snow Blowers

Ariens offers 14 high-quality single- and dual-stage gas snow blowers, plus the unique Power Brush, which is perfect for clearing away light snow and leaves. All Ariens snow blowers have tires that don't require chains, preventing wear and tear on your driveway. Ariens warranties last 3 years.

MTD Snow Blowers

MTD is a family of outdoor equipment brands, including Troy-Bilt, White Outdoor, Yard Machines, and Yard Man. Yard Machines boasts 14 different gas and electric snow blowers to fit your needs. Troy-Bilt and Yard Man sport the biggest, most powerful machines for the heaviest jobs. White Outdoor offers the most affordable models, ranging from 0 for their single-stage unit to ,100 for their largest dual-stage thrower.

John Deere Snow Blowers

John Deere contracts Frontier Equipment for their snow blowers. All Frontier Equipment single-stage snow blowers, as well as their smallest dual-stage units, use standard Tecumseh Snow King engines. Their 9 to 13 horsepower units use Briggs and Stratton Intek Snow engines, which are designed for performance in sub-zero temperatures, quick starts, and quiet running. All Frontier Equipment dual-stage snow blowers are optimized for constant carburetor and engine temperatures, with an optional engine block heater.

Murray Snow Blowers

Snapper makes Murray's snow blowers. They come in all sizes and stages. They only offer 5 forward speeds rather than the standard 6, but their exclusive "Creeper Speed" makes up for it by getting you steadily through some of the tougher portions of the job.

Craftsman Snow Blowers

Craftsman has an exclusive agreement with Sears whereby Sears both sells and services Craftsman snow blowers. This is desirable because Sears's technicians where you bought your machine know the machine inside and out. Craftsman snow blowers use Briggs & Stratton for their smaller engines and Tecumseh for their larger engines. Newer Craftsman snow blowers are made by AYP or Murray.

Simplicity Snow Blowers

By design, Simplicity snow blowers are anything but. Their 11 models boast such extras as a special handle for releasing power to the right wheel, allowing for turning on a dime; a snow depth and density sensor that automatically adjusts power to the auger and impeller; and a Briggs & Stratton Intek Snow engine, which is built for subzero temperatures, quick starts, and quiet running.

Formal Night on a Dinner Cruise - What to Wear

Cruises are typically a laid back affair, but despite being a way to relax and take a vacation, it`s fun to dress up nicely from time to time. If you've never been on a dinner cruise before, you`ll probably want to ensure that you know what to wear for formal attire.

Formal Night on a Cruise: What to Wear

SHOE CARNIVAL

Cruises are typically a laid back affair, but despite being a way to relax and take a vacation, it`s fun to dress up nicely from time to time. Formal nights allow just that. If you`ve never been on a dinner cruise ship before, you`ll probably want to ensure that you know what to bring for formal night.

Dressing Up on a Dinner Cruise

It`s normal to dress semi-formally for dinner on a cruise, particularly if you are eating in the nicer dining room, as opposed to ordering in or eating at a more informal area. A nice dress or slacks and a blouse for women are appropriate for these dinners, a suit or slacks and a tucked in button-down shirt work well for men.

Another opportunity to dress up a bit would be when you hit the dance floor on the cruise ship. Many people prefer to wear nice clothes and shorts are generally frowned upon in this case.
These are the normal situations that you would find yourself dressing up for on a cruise. Nothing terribly formal and the atmosphere is still relatively casual. Not so on Formal Night.

What to Pack for Formal Night on a Cruise

The formal night on a cruise is meant to be one of a kind and it shows. While a nice suit can be acceptable for a man, tuxedos are now the norm on many cruises. Just think of what you would wear to a nice wedding . . . if it would pass there, then you`re probably good to go.

Women have far more choice in what to wear. Formal ballgowns are definitely an option, but your most elegant "little black dress" can also be very appropriate. Again, imagine wearing it to a wedding and you`ll know if it`s formal enough. Women may choose to wear brighter colors, like red or emerald green, but when in doubt, stick to black or white to be sure you`ll fit in.

For women, matching shoes and jewelry is a must. If you have an elegant gold chain or something more formal such as a string of pearls, that will dress up any outfit. Matching earrings add an extra touch of elegance to the outfit, too. Add a touch of more formal makeup and do your hair up for the ultimate in elegant looks.

Can You Rent?

Often cruise ships will have a tuxedo and dress rental where you can pick up something for the evening that will be appropriate. However, these rentals are usually booked very early, so make sure to book as soon as you board, or even earlier, if possible. This requires that you be aware of the option, of course, so you`ll need to talk to your cruise ship representative about the Formal Night.

If you find that you are just really stressing out about the dinner cruise event, just make it easy on yourself. Call up the cruise line ahead of time to find out just what is required. Are they offering rentals? Will there be a theme to the Formal Night? Preparing yourself for this event will keep the stress levels to a minimum and allow you to truly enjoy the cruise.

Formal Night is a night meant to be super romantic and beautiful. While not everyone enjoys dressing up, it is still a wonderful occasion to enjoy your partner and have fun in a more upscale environment where you can be the belle of the ball or the prince of the hour for a short while. Just be prepared and arrange everything ahead of time to make sure you won`t be thinking about the event the whole time.

How to Make a Really Creative Shoebox Diorama

A shoebox diorama can be much more than just a miniature scene. It can be a creative display that people are really amazed by. Here are some creative tips and hints on how to make your shoebox diorama really special.

Select A Unique Housing for your Diorama

SHOE CARNIVAL

When making a shoebox diorama the very first thing you should do is think outside the box! I mean this literally in that you really don't have to use a shoebox to make your shoebox diorama. You can use any number of interesting containers to make a really unique diorama housing. But I recommend you take this thinking to a second step and use something that adds a level of meaning to your diorama.

For example, if you are going to make a diorama about coffee plantations you might want to use a big coffee can as the actual diorama housing. This adds a level of uniqueness that also adds meaning to your diorama. It gives people something to talk about. Think about what your diorama is going to be about and then look around for housing ideas. Another good example of this would be an ocean diorama. This is a very popular theme for a diorama and I made a diorama by hollowing out a Styrofoam lobster trap buoy. It looks really nice and gives the whole diorama a very nautical feeling. Of course if you are going to make a diorama of a shoe store or a shoe factory then a shoebox is perfect!

Tell A Story or Capture a Moment in Time

One of the best things about a diorama is that they can not only show a scene but they can tell a story by capturing a single moment in time. A good example of this is if you want to build a medieval diorama with a castle you could put a dragon and a knight in battle. If you are making an ocean diorama you could capture the moment just before a big fish is about to gobble up a little fish. This tells a story. There is an event frozen in time and it gives your audience something to think about and questions to ask. What is happening in this diorama? What is going to happen next?

Explain something with the structure of the diorama

This is a little bit harder to do but can be the most rewarding aspect of diorama making. Think about how the structure or materials of the diorama can be used to explain the story or point you are trying to make. A good example of this would be a rainforest diorama. The rainforest has five layers from the over canopy to the ground layer. You could build your diorama in five different layers. This way the actual structure of the diorama helps to make the point of how the actual rainforest is.

A shoebox diorama can be a beautiful little facsimile of the real world and there are lots of ways to make it creative and special. All you have to do is think outside the shoebox!

Quick & Easy Foreplay Games For Couples

You would think that sex would never get boring. Unfortunately sometimes we allow ourselves to get into a routine. Everyone craves the excitement of doing something new and different. If you want to fire up your passion for each other again, try playing a few couples games in or out of the bedroom.

Here are some fun do it yourself games for couples that you can play tonight. Increase your arousal and desire for each other as you laugh and play together. You'll both win with great sex as the reward.

PRINTABLE COUPONS

Frisky Dice: Use two different colored dice -- say red and black. This gives you 36 possible combinations (only 11 if the dice are the same color). Create a list of 36 foreplay activities, sex positions or role play ideas to match each die combination. Then whenever you want some exciting random sex, roll the dice and see what frisky idea you will be enjoying.

Hide & Seek Sex: Choose five to ten items and hide them around the house. Each item should correspond to a certain type of sex play activity. You hide them around your house and ask your partner to find them. The first one they find determines what you will both be doing later. For example, hide different types of sex toys or role playing accessories -- first one found is the one you play with. You can also hide sticky notes or sex coupons with sex positions, fantasies, different locations or role playing ideas. Or, create an entire list of foreplay activities to seek and enjoy when and where you find them. See if you can find all of them before you ravish each other completely.

Carnal Cards: For a standard deck of cards, create a list of foreplay or sex play activities corresponding to each card (52), colored card (26 red & black) or value Ace to King (13). Now you can shuffle and deal for sex ideas or play one of many regular card games for two with an erotic twist. Agree on certain events in the game where one of the played cards needs to be PLAYED. For example, play War and perform a foreplay activity corresponding to any matching card value that causes a war.

Wild Wagers: You can bet on almost anything. With an erotic imagination, you can come up with creative wagers involving sexual rewards or foreplay forfeits for almost any event or situation. Although playing your own competitive games together is more rewarding, sports programs on TV, murder mysteries and even stock market results can be a source for great sex you can bet on. When you are confident you will win, propose something your partner has asked for but hasn't gotten yet -- sweeten the pot but ask for something you really want too. When you gamble with pleasure in this way, you both win.

Playing any couples game with your partner is quality time that will enhance your relationship. Add some sexy twists to your adult game play and you will spice up your sex life too. Instead of going out to the movies or even the video store, stay home and create your own intimate entertainment rated R (or better yet, X).

Halloween Activities for Young Children

Celebrate the annual Fright Night with these seventeen fun (and not so scary) ideas, especially for young children.

1. Try your hand at face painting, or allow your children to paint each other's faces with washable face paints.

PRINTABLE COUPONS

2. Make your own goodie bags. Set out some brown paper bags with the standard art supplies or embellish an old pillowcase with fabric paints. You can even spring for blank canvas baggies from your local discount store or craft store without spending a lot.

3. Tie-dye some T-shirts or socks using orange and black fabric dyes.

4. Make ghosts. Fold a piece of black construction paper in half and let your child squirt white paint inside. Squish the paint between the paper, let dry, then embellish the white ghost with paints, markers and other craft supplies.

5. Make homemade slime. This is always a popular activity. Here is a great recipe from Family Fun Magazine: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=10684

6. Watch a Halloween movie. Make popcorn, cuddle up together in blankets, and take in some spooky cinematic sights. Harry Potter, Dracula, or Ghostbusters are great choices. For younger children, choose Heffalump Halloween, starring Winnie the Pooh or The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad by Disney Classics.

7. Eat creepy cuisine. Cut sandwiches or tortillas into Halloween shapes with cookie cutters. Create a ghoulish look with almost anything by mixing in a little green or red food coloring.

8. Play "Guess How Many Pumpkin Seeds." Each family member or party guest gets to take turns guessing how many pumpkin seeds are in a jar. The winner gets a prize.

9. Go apple bobbing. Fill a bucket or tub with water and apples and see how many apples each contestant can snag.

10. Make masks. Set out the art supplies and see who can make the scariest mask with a paper plate, construction paper, yarn, and markers or paints.

11. Create a family costume. Come up with a costume theme that the whole family can participate in. One year, we were all Star Wars characters. Maybe you will all be people from the Wild West or fuzzy forest animals.

12. Have a pumpkin seed spitting contest.

13. Roast pumpkin seeds. Clean the pumpkin seeds and toss them in just enough melted butter to lightly cover the seeds. (One tablespoon of butter is generally enough for the seeds from a medium sized pumpkin.) Salt the seeds, then spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 250 degrees until golden brown, stirring occasionally.

14. Play Pin the Tail on the Black Cat (or Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin.) Any variation of Pin the Tail on the Donkey is fun for young kids.

15. Make a Scare Tape. Record you and your family members making spooky sounds. All you need is a tape recorder and a little imagination. Include footsteps, slamming doors, creepy howling werewolves, and crazy cackles. Play the tape from your front porch on Halloween.

16. Give each child an inexpensive disposable camera for the big night. This is a fun way to see what Halloween looks like from their perspective. I love to give my kids a blank journal and let them tell the story of memorable events, such as Halloween. This is a great tradition and really helps them to tell their personal stories, which they will cherish for many Halloweens to come.

17. Once Halloween is over, make sure to shop the post Halloween sales for fun additions to your dress up closet, which your young children are sure to enjoy year round.

Happy haunting!
