Art Shoes are manufactured in the Rioja region of Spain, yes! that's where all the great Spanish wine comes from! The factory that makes the shoes was established over thirty years ago and at that time they were supplying general retailers with their own shoes. They took the bold decision in 1995 to develop their own unique brand of shoe and so the Art Shoes brand was born.
The company specialises in developing footwear on highly developed and advanced sole units that are made from natural rubber and feature faceted sole edges and multi coloured disks giving Art Shoes a truly exclusive and individual feel.

These are fabricated on top quality, highly stylised, natural rubber sole units combined with naturally tanned high quality leather uppers. The shoes also have leather inner soles and shoe linings. The soles are sculpted from naturally occurring rubber which is the best material for making soles from and the curing process gives them a very organic look and feel.

Art Sandals:
The sandals combine all things organic and natural embracing the feel of the Rioja region in rural Spain. The sandals feature natural wedge soles which are laminated with natural, locally grown cork. This is put together with high quality, lightly tanned leather tops which are combined with leather for the linings and inner soles. The Women's Art Shoes Bio sandal for example combines a superbly comfortable cork mid sole with a comfort padded sock which ensures it is one of the most comfortable sandal you could ever wear!
Other sandals from Art Shoes combine wedges covered with cork and also feature light but durable rubber sole units that enable non slip comfortable walking.

Art Boots:
These wonderful creations come in to their own in the Autumn-Winter season from around the middle of August. The new Art Boots collection is composed of the same or similar soles used on the Art Shoes collection.The Women's Art Boot range is once again made from naturally occuring rubber and locally tanned organic leather in a wonderful array of colours from deep greens to aubergine, 'Carbone' and 'Prado'. The sole units are put together with superior components and the boots are available in regular finsh polish or a waxy top which is quite similar to the finish that Fly boots of Portugal achieve on their collections.
