Coupons for groceries are found in all sorts of places, but my favorite place is to find them right at the supermarket. If you go up and down the aisles at your local grocery store you may find that there are coupons located directly on the shelves. Sometimes they are sticking out of machine dispensers at other times you just need to tear them right off of a holder. It's really mind boggling to see people pass them up. They're right in plain view and if you just take a few minutes to see if it will save you money it can really be worth your time. It only takes a few seconds to hand your coupon to the person behind the counter so they can enter your savings into the cash register. There are so many people that don't want to be bothered with this easy process, it really amazes me. If they only took the time to do this consistently they could literally save hundreds of dollars a year.
You can also find coupons for groceries in the more traditional method of clipping them out of your local newspaper. Newspapers still feature a section with coupons at least once a week and you can be sure to find some great savings placed in their by your favorite supermarkets. I do enjoy clipping out coupons the old-fashioned way with the scissor, but lately I find it much more exciting to search for coupons online. I have had a lot of success just searching for the items that I am ready to buy and finding websites that offer free coupons and printable discounts. It is really rewarding when you can find exactly what you are looking for, print it right off of your computer, and head to the store to enjoy immediate savings.
